Do Save's portfolios invest in crypto or any alternative currencies?

Modified on Tue, 19 Mar at 9:01 AM

No, we strictly do not invest in any crypto or digital currencies, due to their volatile and unregulated nature. Your Save Market Savings deposit is placed with Webster Bank, N.A., Member FDIC, and is not encumbered, collateralized, or put at risk for the investment portion of the program.3 Save does not utilize your deposit for anything else aside from placing it with Webster Bank, N.A., Member FDIC, to ensure capital protection.3

Independently of your deposit, Save will make an investment on your behalf based on your portfolio allocation. Save portfolios are comprised of stocks, bonds, commodities, fixed income, real estate, and other assets accessed via liquid Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).

When you sign up for a Save account, you are asked to use our Recommendation Tool, which will help choose the portfolio best suited for you. Learn more about the Recommendation Tool in this FAQ.
