How is my Market Trust principal guaranteed and, at the same time, Save invests on my behalf?

We utilize two investment allocations: a portion of your deposit is allocated to an investment account with our partners at Apex Clearing Corporation, and another portion is allocated to a guaranteed interest rate product4 held by a trust. If the performance in the investment account is zero or negative, the amount of the original deposit is protected and guaranteed by the issuer of the guaranteed interest rate product when held for the full term.

With the allocation to the investment account, Save buys investments on your behalf into your Apex account. These investments are not guaranteed and may lose value, including the entire amount allocated to the investment account. Despite this, your initial deposit amount is guaranteed to be returned to you at the end of the 5-year term, provided there are no early withdrawals. For example, if you deposit $10,000 into a Market Trust term and your investments return 0% or $0.00, then you’ll still receive your initial deposit amount of $10,000 at the end of the 5-year term, regardless of your investments’ performance.
